Foreign trade is one of the “troika” driving economic growth. Yesterday, reporters learned from the Municipal Bureau of Commerce that since the beginning of this year, Lishui has actively responded to unexpected external risks and challenges in accordance with the unified deployment of the municipal Party committee, implementing a powerful and effective combination of measures to “stabilize, expand, adjust, and optimize”. According to customs statistics, from January to June, the total import and export value of goods trade in Lishui reached 23.43 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 26.9%. Exports amounted to 20.32 billion yuan, up 24.7% year-on-year, while imports reached 3.10 billion yuan, a surge of 43.4% year-on-year. The growth rates of trade imports and exports, exports, and imports all ranked first in the province.
Expanding the base of foreign trade entities is the core key to accelerating the cultivation of new drivers for foreign trade. Since the beginning of this year, Lishui has deeply implemented the “195” plan for nurturing foreign trade entities, cultivating a cohort of high-quality trading enterprises in a tiered manner. Efforts have been made to extend, supplement, and strengthen the chains of seven export-oriented industries, such as smart short-distance transportation and synthetic leather, while guiding capable local enterprises to optimize their overseas industrial arrangement. Currently, the number of enterprises with actual foreign trade export performance in Lishui has reached 1,211, an increase of 113 year-on-year. Among them, 36 enterprises have export values exceeding 100 million yuan, an increase of 13 year-on-year, and 321 enterprises have export values exceeding 10 million yuan, an increase of 40 year-on-year.
Actively exploring diversified markets helps shape new advantages in foreign trade. At the 137th Canton Fair, 133 offline exhibitors from Lishui displayed a range of products, including household appliances, motorcycles, and tools, which won the favor of buyers from Russia, India, Brazil, Southeast Asia, and other countries and regions. They engaged with over 3,000 customers and achieved intended transaction volumes totaling 26.465 million USD.
Since the beginning of this year, Lishui has actively promoted the “Thousands of Groups and Ten Thousands of Enterprises Expanding Markets and Increasing Orders” initiative, organizing over 400 enterprises to participate in well-known international exhibitions at home and abroad, such as the Canton Fair, the Cologne Hardware Fair, and the Hong Kong Toys Fair. Exports to the EU, ASEAN, the Middle East, and Latin America reached 4.06 billion yuan, 3.07 billion yuan, 2.22 billion yuan, and 1.73 billion yuan, respectively, with year-on-year growth rates of 66%, 50%, 57%, and 36%.
Emerging formats such as cross-border e-commerce, which are developing at an accelerated pace, are gradually becoming a “new growth point” for foreign trade. At the recently held 2025 “Zhe-Li Good Products ‘Linking’ the World” Cross-Border E-Commerce Resource Matching Fair, representatives from over 40 well-known cross-border e-commerce platforms and professional service providers, including Amazon, Walmart, and CoolTech, as well as more than 70 buyers from domestic cities like Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen, and countries such as Russia and Vietnam, gathered in Lishui for face-to-face exchanges with over 150 local high-quality enterprises.
“Lishui’s wooden toys, luggage, and other products are of excellent quality and innovative design, possessing strong international competitiveness,” said the procurement director of Ningbo Hoyea Group at the fair, expressing hope for establishing long-term and stable cooperative relationships with Lishui enterprises. In the outdoor supplies section, Zhejiang Nengfu Tourism Products Company from Longquan reached preliminary cooperation intentions with multiple buyers, further broadening the path for “Lishui good products” to go global.
Since the beginning of this year, Lishui has efficiently promoted the integrated development of “live streaming + platforms + cross-border e-commerce”, establishing five new cross-border e-commerce industrial parks, adding 105 new cross-border e-commerce entities, and setting up 34 independent stations. The city has provided cross-border e-commerce skills training to over 800 people, held more than 30 service matching events, and built a bonded logistics center (Type B), vigorously promoting the integration of overseas Chinese trade and the high-quality development of cross-border e-commerce.
At the same time, Lishui has actively carried out tiered cultivation of export brand enterprises, achieving a cycle of reserving, cultivating, and applying for brands, continuously expanding independent brands, and encouraging more enterprises to “take their brands global”. The total number of “Zhejiang Export Famous Brands” and “Lishui Export Famous Brands” within the validity period has reached 37. The city has also established a mechanism for municipal and county leaders to serve key enterprises, achieving a “125” closed-loop resolution for enterprise-related issues. In the first half of the year, 122 enterprise-related problems were coordinated and resolved, and 82 “one enterprise, one policy” measures were formulated. Three of these cases were selected as provincial best practices for “one enterprise, one policy”, demonstrating proactive and effective measures to warmly support and help enterprises overcome difficulties.
