Recently, the acceptance meeting of the “unveiling the list” project of water supply technology of single-village water station in Zhejiang Province was held in Jinyun County. Among the second batch of eight single-village water station technology “unveiling list” projects carried out by the Provincial Water Conservancy Department, a total of three projects in Lishui City have been selected, marking that Lishui has made new progress in solving the bottlenecks of rural distributed water supply technology and ensuring drinking water safety in remote areas.
As an important water source guarantee for residents in mountainous and islands of Zhejiang, its long-term and stable operation directly affects the drinking water safety of rural people. In the face of challenges such as a wide range of points, complex environment, and difficult operation and maintenance, starting from 2023, the Provincial Department of Water Resources will organize and carry out a single-village water station water supply technology “unveiling list” to encourage enterprises, universities, scientific research institutes, etc. to form innovative teams to jointly tackle the problem to provide scientific and technological support for improving the safety and security of rural drinking water.
The three projects selected by Lishui City are the innovative research and application of the effective management and protection of the single village water station (Suichang County Water Conservancy Bureau), the research and application of the key technology of the single village water station water purification set applicable to the complex environment of mountainous islands (Lishui Water Conservancy Bureau), the research and application of the key technology of high turbidity raw water treatment during heavy rain (Jinyun County Water Conservancy Bureau). Through a strict acceptance process, the acceptance meeting comprehensively tested the implementation results of the single village water station water supply technology “unveiling the list” project. After the questioning and discussion of the acceptance team, it was agreed that all three projects had completed the goals set in the mission letter with high quality, and agreed that all of them passed the acceptance.
Jinyun County is a typical mountainous county. During heavy rainfall, the raw water contains a lot of suspended matter, and the water quality changes greatly in the short term, resulting in unstable water quality at the outs of the single village water station. To this end, the Jinyun County Water Conservancy Bureau, together with the key team composed of universities and enterprises, has developed turbidity reduction micro-flocculation technology and equipment during the rainstorm in response to the current situation and the actual pain points of the site, which provides new scientific and technological support for improving the safety of rural drinking water. “Our topic is the research and application of the key technology for the treatment of high turbidity raw water during heavy rainfall. Generally speaking, it is to adopt the method of 'group heating + precise protection' for relatively turbid rainwater, so as to make the water clean and the equipment easier to use and save more trouble.” introduced by the staff of the Water Conservancy Bureau of Jiyun County.
Since the province launched the transformation and upgrading of single village water stations, Lishui has undertaken nearly 40 of the province's tasks and promoted the transformation and upgrading of 3,200 single village water stations in the city. Up to now, Lishui City has completed 3,052 single village water stations, with an overall completion rate of 95.4%; completed investment of 2.99 billion yuan, accounting for 43.9% of the province. The number of tasks of a single village water station for people's livelihood has been completed, with a completion rate of 122.2%; six of the nine counties (cities and districts) in the city have been completed in the top ten in the province, and the four counties of Songyang, Jingning, Yunhe and Qingyuan have completed all transformation and upgrading tasks one year ahead of schedule
