Recently, the Zhejiang Association for Science and Technology released the list of the fourth batch of “Zhejiang Provincial Doctoral Innovation Stations”, with four Lishui-based entities included: Zhejiang Wecan Daily Necessities Co., Ltd., Lishui Liandu District Langqi Agritainment Product Farmer Cooperative, Zhejiang Dianchuang Information Technology Co., Ltd, and Zhejiang Junhong Mechanics Co., Ltd.
Zhejiang Wecan Daily Necessities Co., Ltd., in collaboration with Dr. Ma Zhongqing’s team from Zhejiang A&F University, has overcome multiple technical challenges. Together, they participated in the development of one international standard, one national standard, and one forestry industry standard. The team has also applied for three invention patents, published three academic papers, trained six technical personnel, and helped the company establish a comprehensive quality management system to enhance its independent innovation capabilities.
Lishui Liandu District Langqi Agritainment Product Farmer Cooperative focuses on vegetable seedling cultivation, production and sales, and agritourism. In 2023, it partnered with Dr. Wang Ying’s team from the Zhejiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences to jointly conduct research on gourd vegetable cultivation technologies. As a result, the cooperative successfully produced over 7 million high-quality seedlings annually, achieved an annual sales revenue of more than 95 million yuan in pollution-free vegetables, and increased the income of 13,000 surrounding farmers.
Zhejiang Dianchuang Information Technology Co., Ltd, in partnership with Dr. Ye Zhen’s team from Lishui University, has deeply engaged in UAV applications, digital twin technologies, and artificial intelligence. The collaboration has led to the completion of 10 key projects, the acquisition of 6 invention patents and over 20 software copyrights, and the development of core platforms such as “Yunsenfang” and “Yunzhishou”. The company has also established a provincial-level enterprise R&D institution and trained more than 30 skilled technical professionals.
Zhejiang Junhong Mechanics Co., Ltd. specializes in aluminum alloy pressure casting and has jointly established a doctoral innovation station with Dr. Gong Hai’s team from Central South University. Utilizing advanced university equipment, the team has tackled technical bottlenecks and transformed research outcomes. They conducted key research on near-zero defect manufacturing in die-casting of the ADC12 right crankcase cover, increasing the yield rate of quality castings from 90% to over 98%. Additionally, they jointly applied for one National Key Laboratory Open Fund project, published one SCI-indexed paper, developed one national standard, applied for two invention patents and six utility model patents, and developed four provincial-level new products.
In recent years, the Lishui Association for Science and Technology has actively promoted the “A Thousand PhDs Assist a Thousand Enterprises” initiative, aligning with local industrial foundations, responding to enterprise needs, and integrating doctoral resources to promote deep integration of industry, academia, and research. The construction of doctoral innovation stations has been comprehensively advanced. To date, 224 such stations have been established citywide, including 11 at the provincial level and 148 at the municipal level. These innovation stations provide strong intellectual and technological support for Lishui’s high-quality development.
“We will continue to deepen the ‘A Thousand PhDs Assist a Thousand Enterprises’ initiative, focusing on five major industries, the complete semiconductor supply chain, precision manufacturing, health and pharmaceuticals, fashion, and the digital economy, as well as characteristic county-level industries, to promote full regional coverage of doctoral innovation stations. At the same time, we aim to strengthen collaboration between universities and enterprises, accelerate the transformation and application of scientific and technological achievements, and build hands-on teaching platforms for universities,” said Chen Yaping, Vice Chairman of the Lishui Association for Science and Technology.
