Public services are at the core and key to advancing high-quality development and building a demonstration zone for common prosperity. Yesterday, the Municipal Government Information Office held a press conference on the advancement of high-quality and shared public services in Lishui City, introducing various efforts in areas such as “quality education for all”, “affordable and suitable housing”, “access to good healthcare”, “quality early childhood education” and “labor with fair income”.
In recent years, Lishui City has implemented actions to improve education quality, elevate education standards, and deepen comprehensive educational reforms, continuously advancing the high-quality and shared provision of public education services. The city has optimized the allocation of educational resources, implemented the “Double Hundred Billion” projects for education, promoted the development of high-quality schools through both internal cultivation and external recruitment, and coordinated the modernization of education throughout the city, striving to achieve “quality education for all”. It has also pushed forward comprehensive education reforms, actively creating a national experimental zone for basic education reform, promoting diverse development in general high schools, balanced development in compulsory education, quality improvement in preschool education, and building a modern vocational education system, aiming for “excellence in education”. Additionally, the city has strengthened teacher training, carried out the “Promote the Spirit of Educators and Forge Teachers of Common Prosperity” initiative, enhanced recruitment of high-level talents, and implemented the “Hundred, Thousand, Ten Thousand” teacher development action plan, striving to ensure “quality teachers”.
Affordable and suitable housing, and striving for better living conditions. In the field of housing security, Lishui City has made every effort to promote the work of “affordable and suitable housing” striving to make living more worry-free, secure, and comfortable for the public, enhancing their sense of gain and happiness. We have successively revised documents such as the “Lishui City Public Rental Housing Management Measures” and the “Public Rental Housing Security Standards”, further standardizing and expanding the scope of public rental housing security; actively revitalizing state-owned assets and expanding the effective supply of affordable rental housing. At the same time, adhering to the people-first, life-first principle, we have strictly controlled the “quality” of houses at the source and the “safety” of houses during the process, resolutely preventing housing safety accidents. Focusing on living quality, we have improved infrastructure and service capabilities, accelerated the improvement of supporting service facilities, and made life more convenient and comfortable for the public.
Health is the most important indicator of a happy life. In recent years, Lishui City has adhered to the principle of “balanced, accessible, and high-quality public services” and used the national public hospital reform and high-quality development demonstration projects as opportunities to fully promote the “Good Doctors for All” and “Quality Early Childhood Education” initiatives. Key actions include strengthening medical capabilities, with an investment of 10.1 billion yuan in 122 key medical and health projects; enhancing medical services, with activities aimed at improving the patient experience; supporting public health through 28 health initiatives in Lishui; and strengthening early childhood care with the introduction of measures to optimize fertility policies and support balanced population development, easing the burden of childrearing.
Additionally, since the beginning of this year, Lishui City has aimed to promote the brand of “Work and Innovate in Zhejiang and Lishui”, focusing on the vision of “Jobs for All, Skills for All, Social Security for All, and Income for All”. A series of measures have been implemented to benefit people’s livelihoods and enhance their well-being. The city has pioneered the “Work and Innovate in Zhejiang and Lishui” co-prosperity service model and established the first city-level live-streaming job placement base in the province to focus on “Job Opportunities”. It has also advanced the construction of a skills-based society, conducted initiatives to enhance the skills of workers, and promoted a fair social security system through the “Social Security Services Enter Ten Thousand Enterprises and Households” campaign. In terms of “Income for All”, the city has pushed forward harmonious labor relations and provided value-added services, such as promoting “dual love” culture and assessing labor risks for enterprises.
At the press conference, officials from the Municipal Education Bureau, Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau, and Health Commission also answered questions from reporters.
